Because your relocation is so important to you, and to us, we want to know your concerns and your needs from the very beginning. During pre-move counseling, we bring you proven advice and helpful planning aids to make the day-by-day activities of your relocation easy. We work with you to provide the most accurate estimate possible. So, for the best results, take your Atlas Representative through every room to point out things that may require special handling and packing.

You have several pricing programs to choose from when relocating to another state. Established rates are published in an industry-wide tariff and are public information. Pricing is based on weight, distance and services.

As is standard in the industry, we offer basic liability protection for your belongings. This coverage is limited to 60 cents per pound per article at no cost to you. However, basic liability protection may not provide enough coverage in the unlikely event something is lost or damaged. You may decide upon full value protection, an affordable choice for peace of mind.

Coordinating Your Relocation

Southwest Transfer & Storage will coordinate your packing dates with the agency crew and equipment, schedule your preferred pickup and delivery dates, then report your personal relocation information to Atlas Van Lines.

Your Item Inventory

A member of your Atlas team catalogs each carton and separate item on an inventory form, describing each piece of furniture. Upon delivery, the Customer Check-Off Sheet will assist you in verifying that all items on your inventory were received. You can then be sure that everything is accounted for.

Loading the Van

It's like solving a giant jigsaw puzzle in three dimensions. Your Atlas Van Operator has the practical experience to do it right. We use advanced satellite and information systems to monitor the movement of your possessions. When you need an update, we provide a toll-free telephone number for you to call, or you can track your shipment here on our Web site.

Placing Your Furniture

Your Atlas crew places your furniture where you want it in your new home. They'll carry cartons to the kitchen, bedrooms, basement and garage as marked. They'll unroll rugs, reassemble beds, and put them where you say. If you choose the full unpacking service option, your Atlas crew will unpack every plate, cup, glass and spoon; place them on the kitchen counter; and take away the packing material when they leave.

Payment Options

Atlas accepts payment for moving services by cash, check or credit card. Atlas accepts your certified check, traveler's check, bank check or personal check. You may choose to pay at origin or destination... just let your Atlas Agency Sales Representative know which you prefer.
